McDermott has been appointed by the Supreme Court of New Jersey to serve as Chair of Part V (Out of State and Northern Counties), effective immediately for the remaining portion of her Committee term, which ends on June 30, 2016.  Ms. McDermott was first appointed to the Supreme Court Committee of Character in 2007.  The Committee reviews and determines each New Jersey bar candidate’s admissibility and fitness to practice law in New Jersey

Ms. McDermott, the Managing Member of the firm, has devoted her entire career to  matrimonial, divorce and family law.  She is a court-approved Family Law Mediator included on the rosters of Mediators for Economic Aspects of Family Law Cases for multiple counties.
